This episode was the last episode of season 25 and one team was announced as the winner and won the $1 million prize.
From the Pit Stop in Manila, teams were given a manila envelope along with their clue, and told to travel to the “City of Angels”, Los Angeles, the final destination city.
Upon arrival in Los Angeles International Airport, teams obtained a race-provided Ford Explorer and used its voice control feature to get their next clue, directing them to the Los Angeles City Hall.
At the City Hall, teams met the city’s film clerk who stamped a filming permit within their manila envelope, and told to go to the Southwest Marine Warehouse to hand over the permit to an assistant director.
At United States Coast Guard Base in Terminal Island at San Pedro, teams participated in a search-and-rescue exercise with the Coast Guard, using a response boat to rescue a crash test dummy and set off a safety smoke bomb to signal a boat. Once complete, teams were given their next clue.
In the first Roadblock of the final leg, after picking a stunt coordinator, one team member trained for jumping out of a third story window. In the final run, they had to pick up a satchel and then break through a window made of breakaway glass to land safely on a pile of boxes below, making sure to land on their back. Once done, they would receive their next clue, which was in their satchel, making sure to take off their safety gear first. The first three teams were permitted to perform the task, while the last team to arrive here was eliminated from the Race at this point.
In the final Roadblock of the Race, the team member who did not perform the first one had to search among shipping containers to find nine that had the name of the cities visited on the race and remember a color-coded digit from that container. They then had to write these numbers down in the order they visited these cities to get their final clue.
The winning team was Amy and Maya. In second was Misti and Jim followed by Adam and Bethany in third.
This is the second time an all women team has won The Amazing Race. I wanted Adam and Bethany to win but I’m happy for Amy and Maya.
